There's much more to Heald Green Theatre than just acting.
It takes a small army of volunteers from age 8 to 88 with a whole range of different skills to bring our productions to life.
Alongside acting our members also direct, assistant direct, source and design props and wardrobe, design sets, lighting and sound, get creative with wigs and make-up, get handy supporting set construction and building maintenance, stage manage, deliver our work with young people, chaperone, manage the theatre on performance nights, tend the bar, sell programmes and sweets... and whole lot more.
Youth Theatre
We run a range of theatre classes for young people offering the chance to learn stagecraft.
Involvement in the performing arts also supports children and young people in their personal development, increasing their confidence and helping them make new friends.
Our groups meet weekly and stage a yearly showcase as well as getting involved in our yearly sell-out pantomime.
